Shaniya grew up feeling isolated and overwhelmed by family hardship, helping raise her younger siblings while struggling through school. Eight Waves gave her tutoring, community, and a place to belong. She says she wouldn’t have graduated, gone to prom, or earned her business certifications without their support.
