Who We Are

ABOUT US

Eight Waves invests in the lives of children, youth and families who live in under- resourced communities by working together, building the healthy support systems they need to thrive, and empowering them to create lasting change in their own lives and communities.

Mission

We envision a community where every child experiences a variety of positive and encouraging opportunities. These opportunities provide a sense of belonging and allow each child the ability to achieve his or her full potential both individually and as a member of the community.

Key

We know that encouraging a love of learning early on is key to improving mental health, well-being and literacy in America and ensuring our children's success in both school and life. That's why we offer a productive children's program to under-resourced children, families, and schools in Central Florida.

HOPE

OUR STORY

The world is full of stories of blessings - someone who helped, lives impacted for the good.  The world also shares stories of sadness and gloom. We have to pick which story we want to be a part of! Eight Waves began as a team of community members who picked the good story.  Volunteering to bring hope, shedding some light on the hurting, and committing to changing lives.

Eight Waves started for that little girl in a classroom wearing unwashed clothes, lacking the food and supplies she needs so she can focus on her studies; the little girl who is unseen. With Eight Waves' Programs, that little girl doesn’t have to worry; she can just be a kid.

Opening our hearts for a child in need is an easy response of love.  Love then returns to changed lives and a better world.
